Harmony

Medium: Clay Sculpture

Size: (l*w*b) 9.5" x 3" x 0.5"

Description:

While reading, "Daisy Jones and the Six," I came across a dialogue that talked about how music is a universal language and how it has the power to connect people from all over the world, regardless of their nationality, native language, and culture. I found that very inspirational and created this sculpture.
It consists of the Indian Tabla and Sitar, the African Djembe, the American Banjo, the Italian Violin, and a Guitar. The basic foundations, notes, and melodic elements of them are alike.
By incorporating all of them in a human-like figure I want to highlight one of the significant reasons that music expels the barriers among different nations and cultures. This is because people savor music from every part of the world. It speaks the same language, which embodies human emotion, sorrow, love, and joy. Hence, bringing harmony to and among people.
